The Full Review on the 2019 GMC Sierra

GMC completely redesigned the Sierra 1500 for 2019. This brand-new fourth-generation Sierra is larger and got a cosmetic exterior redesign to keep it looking rugged, yet modern. In this 2019 GMC Sierra review will go over what’s changed, what’s new, and what the 2019 Sierra can do for you.

2019 GMC Sierra Review – Exterior Updates

The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 keeps the bold feel it had in previous generations, but with distinct differences such as more defined front grille, larger and c-shaped headlights, and an updated feel overall.

The 2019 Sierra 1500 is larger than previous generations and can stand up to a dominating 2 meters tall. The updated version also has more legroom in the rear seats, making the 2019 Sierra a great choice if you’re planning to transport your family or big work crews. The truck’s height makes for an impressive view and visibility while driving, but be prepared for a good stretch when entering and exiting the vehicle. In general, the 2019 Sierra is a solid update, with many of its trims and features helping to continue pushing it in the direction of being a luxury truck.

2019 GMC Sierra Review – Trim Customization

The 2019 GMC Sierra is available in five different trim levels: Sierra Base, Sierra SLE, Sierra Elevation, Sierra SLT, and the luxury trim, the Sierra Denali. Depending on the trim level, various cab and bed sizes and configurations are available.

Regardless of your price point, your utility requirements, or the level of luxury you’re looking for out of your truck, the 2019 Sierra 1500 can adapt to best suit you and your needs.

2019 GMC Sierra Review – MultiPro Tailgate

The 2019 GMC Sierra MultiPro Tailgate is one of the features that really makes the 2019 Sierra stand out from its class. The Sierra MultiPro Tailgate is a flexible tailgate with up to 6 different functions. Like any other tailgate, it can fold down but it has several surprising features. Not only does it have a pop-up load stop with two different heights (depending on cargo length), it can create a cutout for more easily accessed cargo while the tailgate is open. It can also turn into a desk-like work surface or transform into steps to make climbing into the bed significantly more convenient. 2019 GMC Sierra MultiPro Tailgate is exclusive to this truck and isn’t even available on the Sierra’s close relative, the Chevrolet Silverado.

2019 GMC Sierra Review – Features and Entertainment

Depending on the trim, the 2019 Sierra 1500 is available with a variety of modern entertainment luxuries such as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, a seven-speaker Bose audio system, GPS navigation and more.

The GMC Sierra is also equipped with several active safety features to help keep you safe and comfortable. Available driver assistance features include a safety alert seat that vibrates to alert you of hazards, lane assist and lane departure warnings, blind-spot monitoring, a surround-view camera and more.

The Sierra 1500 also comes standard with GMC’s Teen Driver Mode, which allows you to set speed limits and audio restrictions for secondary drivers. This will give you peace of mind when letting your young driver take the car for the evening.

2019 GMC Sierra Review – Cab and Bed Styles

The Sierra 1500 is available in three cab styles:
The two-door regular cab is only available on the base Sierra and seats three. The regular cab is available with the standard bed (6-foot-9-inch), or the longer 8-foot bed. The four-door double cab is only available with the standard bed and seats up to six. The crew cab is available with the standard 6-and-a-half-foot bed or a shorter 5-foot-9-inch bed and adds full-size rear doors. Be aware that although all the cab configurations are available with two- or four-wheel drive, not all trim levels are available with all configurations.
